Clean Sweep For Irish Rugby

  • Good weekend for Irish Rugby as Leinster’s win to day made it 4 wins from 4 in the Heineken Cup this weekend, that win puts Leinster  in control of their group and on course to claim a quarter final place. Today’s win saw Leinster end Castres 18 match home record stretching back to November 2012.
  • Irish Provisional Results
  1. Ulster          27 – 16    Montpellier
  2. Connacht     20 – 3       Zebre
  3. Gloucester    7 – 20    Munster
  4. Castres        22 – 29    Leinster
  • Ulster booked their last 8 place but face Leicester in the final game to see who tops the group and guarantees a home quarter final. Munster’s win over Gloucester see’s them into the last 8 as well, and if they are to win their final group game they could get themselves a home quarter-final, while Leinster  just need to better or equal Northampton’s result in the final group game to make the last 8. Meanwhile Connacht  need a win and probably a bonus point win to have any chance of making the last 8.
